bad credit, business bank account?

hi guys,

i want to open a ltd company but i am unable to open a business bank account it would seem, as i have bad credit.

i've been tempted to pay for one through a company such as these guys but it all looks a bit sketchy/unwholesome... does anyone have any experience with such companies?

or indeed does anyone know a way around this? i'd really rather not go the umbrella route for this contract.

i really don't need anything aside from a vessel in which to be paid, no overdraft or any credit at all!!!

I have had bad credit in the past and managed to open an account with cater allen. Give all banks a try and then only as a last resort think of using one of them companies. I did get turned down by HSBC which is where I have my personal account other people have said they managed to get accounts with HSBC with bad credit. I went with cater allen through SJD and did not require 5k and its free. I think you can also get the same deal through PGC. Hope this helps.

thanks guys, i just read that thread and called cater allen and explained but the woman was pretty unhelpful and just like 'well all our business accounts are listed on the business accounts page... if we offered that type of account it would be there... you can apply online and it'll take 7-10 working days...'.

however ideally i need to get this done asap as starting contract monday... guess i could go umbrella for the moment and then get them to rewrite my contract if i manage to get a business bank account soon... as i've a personal project i'd like to use it for too. so frustrating when all you want is a repository , not credit, just somewhere to park your flippin' money!!
