Avoid SJD - IMHO
Hi, after all the good press they have gotten on this board, I registered with SJD and was very keen on using them for my accounts. I contacted them and requested a meeting to discuss my options in addition to assistance with some tax issues on my previous company.
I was put in contact with a senior adviser who I had a telephone consultation with regarding the previous company and we arranged to meet to take this further. During this call, I asked him about accountancy for my new LTD and he said that this would have to be discussed with someone else. So far, fair enough.
I then went back to SJD and asked to meet with someone to discuss my new LTD requirements. After a delay of about a week, I was told that I could discuss this with the senior adviser. I mentioned that I was told I had to speak to someone else and the reply to this was that I should sign up to the service if I wanted any further assistance.
One of the requirements for my meeting with the senior accountant was that I needed to get copies of all my previous statements. Since these had not arrived three days before the meeting, I requested a postponement to the meeting. i received a very brusque reply that the date I requested was not possible for him. I asked him what he then suggested to date, have never heard back from him. That was three months ago.
Suffice to say, I did not sign up with them but with Nixon Williams instead and so far, I can say that the service has been very good.
