    Pension and mvl

    Hi,
I am looking to go down the Mvl route as I have cash reserves.
Company ceased trading end of Jan and final accounts being prepared..
However, I paid into my sipp 40k in nov last year .. have not had any gig after that , I was told by acct that it would be offset against last years corp tax so would get a refund this year as don’t have much turnover .. I wanted to know could this be a potential problem of unpaid tax when I start mvl and seek clearance ?

thanks a lot for your advise.

Not sure but not knowing the difference between advise and advice could be a real show stopper.

Who is handling your MVL for you?
Have you sacked your accountant off so can't ask them?

If you haven't picked an MVL agent yet I'd give Chris Maslin a ring at MVL Online and have an initial consultation with him. He's a contractor accountant as well as running the MVL so he'll know exactly what the score is.
