    Re: Planning permission another factor

i think i will go for one of those accounting services with registered mail address + mail forwarding, I cant see my landlord objecting me working at home in my bedroom on my PC as in "working home". If he does then he will have to find new tenant.

      Re: Planning permission another factor

My experience of using an accountant as a registered office is that it is a complete waste of money. As someone else said, they still give your home address as a “correspondence address”. So all the mail still comes directly to your house. Nothing actually went to the registered office, so the accountants never had to do anything for their money.

well, perhaps, but i think that having my company registered at my home address is likely to violate tenancy agreement no-business clause where as having it as correspondance - just like with bank - should be fine.

        :/

How much do accountants charge for this service?
Are you allowed to use a PO box as a registered address or does it have to be an actual office/home address?

Companies House don't like PO Box numbers for registered offices for several reasons, but primarily as they aren't easily traceable.

I don't know how much others charge for this service, but we charge £39 + VAT per year.

yeah i dont want po box - this would put me in line with all those companies who do "you won this lottery" spam SMS and £1 per min hot lines

40 quid a year is not bad. Seen quotes of £200 pa for mail forwarding + costs of stamps.

                Re: 40 quid

You may have to take their accountancy service in order to get that price.

That would be nice & would have it's advantages but the price is not dependant on taking up the accountancy package.

Could be as low as 60 pound/ year for registered office adderess even in London

Expense needs to be wholly exclusively and necessarily for business. Like rental if you work from home you may claim portion of the rent.
Sames as vehicle, normmaly we suggest clients to cliam mileage allowance 45p from this year
