    mortgage for contractor returned from abroad

    i am back from 5 years abroad. i have incorporated as a contractor setting up my own company. i have no relevant UK salary other than what i pay myself from my company. i have spoken with some mortgage cos, and they require 2 years accounts or employee payslips.
    i will be paying dividends or bonus payments. also i will be making max pension contributions (potentially paying these out immediately). are there any mortgage providers who define relevant income to include salary/bonus, dividend, net profit, pension withdrawl?
    thanks!

    If only there was somewhere on the internet you could search for things. We could call it a search engine. [emoji16]

    There are a number of specialist contractor mortgage brokers around. CMME, Freelancer Financials, Contractor Financials. I believe you can also go direct with Halifax.

        Mortgage/ returning from Abroad

        Hi Robevan,
        Did you maintain a UK bank account whilst u have been abroad?
        have u looked at any of your Credit Reports, Experian, Equifax, Call Credit or others?
        Without any credit score/profile, uk address history etc this will be more difficult.
        Register on the voters Role with your Local Council asap;
        With 6 months residency, you have more opportunities.

          Returning from Abroad

          As a contractor returning from abroad it would benefit you to contact a contractor specialist broker as this is something they would be able to advise and help with. There are lenders available who will utilise your daily contractor rate to help with your purchase.
          As previously mentioned on the thread all lenders will look at your current credit score when assessing your needs however the amount of the deposit available is important as a larger deposit, lower loan to value can help if you have a lower score due to returning to the UK.

            You could try ringing some mortgage lenders....

            If you have a deposit then they’ll be interested. The size of the deposit determines how interested.
            If you have no deposit then forget it and don’t even bother with a broker as you have no chance.
