Any experiences good or bad on this bank?

I like the idea of having no transaction fees when I travel to the UK, and indeed any other fees my bank cares to charge me.

He lives in Germany so that would be fine. What I don't get is why he thinks a set of people 99% of whom live in the U.K. can advise him on German banks ?
