Here we go - Took 5 seconds on Companies House website.

Darren John UPTON - Disqualification Details (free disqualification information from Companies House) Born 16th December 1971.

Also from Companies House, person of significant control until 3rd April 2018

Date of birth? **/Dec/1971. Sorry, this is the same person. DU/DR are the same person. Perhaps.

So, who is going to try a free trial on Ancestry dot co dot UK then and finish the job off?

Bl**dy hell! DR was a 50% shareholder of Fox Bartfield from the day it was Incorporated.

I am very sure Simon would know if he ever employed DU though.

OK, so if DU and DR are the same person, you can easily find DU's birth date. You can then search ancestry websites (free trial subscription) for DR and if you go two/three years either side of DU's actual birth date you should get info on pretty much every UK born DR of that age group. There will not be many candidates. Likely that DR is an informal alias eh?.

Simon Dolan owned SJD then. Does Simon still post on here? He might be able to clear this all up!

We know Darren Upton never worked at SJD!

Not so. Only those which are enrolled are recorded there, and there is no requirement to enrol a deed poll.

Enrolling a deed poll | Deed Poll Office (Despite the official sounding name this is not the website of an official body, but their info on this point is accurate)

edit: someone beat me to it already Oh, well, never hurts a dead horse to beat it a few more times.

I can't believe that Mr Upton would have paid extra to make it a matter of searchable public record that he had changed his name (on the assumption that he has changed his name, obviously).
Yep, just added words to that effect

The only hit for Darren Upton is for the bankruptcy notice.

If DU is DR then DR may be an alias, or it could be a name changed by deed poll. Who's going to track those details down then?

It may be that it was never formally recorded this way, it's not a legal requirement to do so, but most law firms who deal with name changes will only keep the records for 5 years. If you don't expect to ever have to prove you used to go by another name then you probably wouldn't bother as it costs money to do.
