The same is true of the supercard and any other prepayment Visa card. Useful to point out but not a deal breaker for bigger purchases (just use the Amex card directly).merely at clientco for the entertainment -
Ah good point. Paypal is the same I understand.Originally posted by TheBA View PostJust a word of caution on the curve card. It breaks the direct payment relationship with the credit card provider and seller so you won't be covered by section 75 of the consumer credit act. Yes, there is chargeback but that's not a legal requirement.
Some credit card companies I wouldnt care but as I said I would trust AMEX if anything ever went wrong.Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!Comment

Surely it depends on the transaction. Many are utterly risk free and protection is not required others....Originally posted by psychocandy View PostAh good point. Paypal is the same I understand.

Don't get me wrong, for day to day expenses it sounds like a great way to juggle multiple cards. But having been caught out by the same with PayPal I've always been wary and a lot of people don't find out until it's too late.Originally posted by eek View PostThe same is true of the supercard and any other prepayment Visa card. It's not. But we're you using a supercard and putting things on an Amex card for the points this allows you to do the same for uk transactions in £sterling.Originally posted by WTFH View PostSo, how much better than a Clarity Card is the Supercard for foreign transactions?
As I think multiple people have stated above you probably want both, clarity for uk transactions and accurate recording of transactions by type (using their app). And supercard to minimize overseas transaction feesmerely at clientco for the entertainmentComment

OK, I get the bit about the Amex points, but apart from that, Clarity is consistently the best performer for overseas transactions - no fees on foreign transactions (apart from cash withdrawals)…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Clarity has a 1% surcharge on the MasterCard exchange rate. Supercard was a 0% charge on the visa exchange rate (MasterCards rates are slightly better). There probably isn't much in it but the overseas cash withdrawal fee is reason enough to get a supercardOriginally posted by WTFH View PostOK, I get the bit about the Amex points, but apart from that, Clarity is consistently the best performer for overseas transactions - no fees on foreign transactions (apart from cash withdrawals)merely at clientco for the entertainmentComment

No cash withdrawal fee either.Originally posted by eek View PostClarity has a 1% surcharge on the MasterCard exchange rate.
