    £450/day IT contract for 3 months. Umbrella or limited company?

    How much should I expect to take home on either case?

      I thought the difference was only like %5? Sweet deal though either way to me.

        Is this your first contract?
        Are you planning to do more?

        Umbrella = Easier
        Ltd = higher return

          Difference = A hell of a lot more than 5%.
          Although whether the contract is inside IR35, also, will have a bearing.

            Struggle with the basics = Umbrella (for a time)
            Willing to put the effort in and learn = LTD

            Don't forget you can go umbrella just for the first gig while you find your feet. The difference in income for that three months compared to the rest of your contracting career getting it right is miniscule.

              The very fact that OP is asking this question, means that the answer is obvious here.

                  Don't forget to handle the expenses correctly in that case.
