It is incorrect because I am a Director of MyCo. MyCo can hold Christmas parties. See Louisa's post.

Aha, Ok. I thought it was about a ClientCo's Christmas Party and whether one were invited or not.

I really cant believe you misread my post and thought it was about attending 'client's' Christmas bash.

Is that really £600? I always worked on the basis it was £150.

Add a couple of potential future clients and a current one and a supplier, so another 8 people (4 I do/will do business with and their partners). Is that now £1800, based on 12 attendees?!

I think, if questioned, you may fail to convince HMRC that your party was primarily for the purpose of entertaining your employees.

Just you and your partner/spouse would probably be fine and you both count when calculating the cost per head.

As i understand it, you (Director) can take one guest (wife \ tart \ associate so upto £150 per head means upto £300.

Your kids and all your current clients and suppliers dont qualify for anything so cannot get their upto £150 each.
