    French Payroll companies

Hi, can anyone recommend any French payroll companies? I am British, but my residency is in France. I am fresh back into contracting after about 10 years, and looking at options on how to get paid after landing a contract in Belgium. The agency are hell bent on me using an umbrella company that they seem tied to. it involves part salary and part dividends, money going via Cyprus etc. They hold no responsibility for tax and don't even withhold any. indeed there will be accountancy cost on top, which they will not even divulge until the first invoice is issued. I thought about a LTD company in the UK? Any advice welcome.

Don't touch Cyprus with a bargepole. The Fisc has powers that Hector can only dream of.

I don't know any French payroll companies (sociétés de portage) but Profession Libérale is quite easy. Just talk to a French accountant, who will likely be operating on that basis himself. You register at the URSSAF and they register everywhere else for you.

Run, don't walk, away from this setup. You are completely certain to be screwed to a plank by all concerned, including the tax authorities.
