It's actually always quicker to visit a branch with your ID and other paperwork to open any sort of bank account. (Closing them is a different matter.)

When I first needed a business bank accountant I got a HSBC one in less than half a day. The delay was making the appointment and then coming back for it.

+1. HSBC were utterly useless setting up an account online. Visiting a branch took 20 minutes...

I now have the account open and have paid money in. But getting money out online is a total nightmare. Hopefully I might get that sorted in the next 2 weeks or so....
Been with Lloyds personally for decades and business since I started contracting in 2007 and never have a problem, online and mobile banking is one of the best. £5 per month, after the introductory 18 months free or whatever it was.

Never had any issues getting at my mullah.

I'm with Barclay's, about £6.50 a month all after the initial free 12 month offer. Great Mobile app and Website both very secure. Phone always answered quickly when I call as well.

I am sure once everything is setup then it will be fine.

ContractorUK Still Introducing to Cater Allen?

Have ContractorUK stopped introducing to Cater Allen? The usual web page wording has changed and there doesn't seem to be a way to get the forms etc. Either that or I am not reading things correctly. TIA.

Barclays - probably towards the upper end of the charging scale being £6.50 a month, but I can't fault their service and their app is probably the best on the market.

I joined on a 12 month free offer and found no reason to want to leave.

I recall someone recommending Metro Bank recently but I don't use them.

CA have now stopped issuing introducer commission, so there is little incentive for anyone to introduce to them now in favour of any other banking service. On the one had that levels the field for recommendations based on service, on the other hand it disinclines introducers like accountants to spend ages on the forms, and CAs are particularly tedious, when CA don't pay and, understandably, clients are unwilling to pay.
