    Advice CT603 and CT600

    Hi

I need some advice on behalf of a friend. Company is almost dissolved but they have received a ct603 form notice to file the company tax return company hasn't traded for over 6 months. They have indicated there is no funds to pay the CT. (Didn't go into detail why). Do they need to submit the accounts as they wont be able to pay it and if the company is dissolved without any objections?

    Appreciate any help.

First off, you need to speak to your accountants and ask them why they did not submit tax returns if you knew that your company would owe tax.
Why do you not have the funds to pay corporation tax?
Why do you think your company would not need to submit accounts for a trading year and pay the appropriate taxes?

You mention that your company is “almost dissolved” do you mean they are dissolved or they are not?
If they are not dissolved and they know taxes are owed, then the directors may want financial and legal advice before signing papers to dissolve a company when knowing that they are in debt.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

Hi - I asking on behalf of a friend not myself. I was just trying to help out as I understood this forum may have some helpful people.
In response to your questions I didn't ask why they didn't have the funds or what they did with the account.
It may have already been dissolved.

It would probably be best if your friend asked directly, thus saving you (and us) time bouncing questions and answers back and forward.
How much money are we talking about?
How many directors are there in the company?
