    Solar Powered IP Camera

I'm looking for a couple of security cameras for the drive and garden. I don't want to wire them to the mains but would rather they where solar powered and recharged.

Has anyone tried/seen anything similar, is it even practical?

Wi-Fi signal is pretty good in the back, side and front gardens, if that helps. Night vision would also be a requirement.

    Cheers

    Power over ethernet?

seems the solar powered ones are all dummies.

the real ones are mostly 5-12v 10w so you would be looking at a ~£40 for 2 panels and £20 for battery & bobs + camera = £100 - 150
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

nah power over Ethernet isn't an option. Was looking at a ready made solar powered option. Googling has turned up some that look pretty shoddy.
