HP Microserver - Get 'em while they're still cheap

Looks like its the last month on the cashback deals for the N54L Microservers. £149.95 with £100 cashback (you do the maths, its a corking deal).

    HP 704941-421 ProLiant MicroServer N54L | ServersPlus

Just got meself another to use as a media server.

The new Gen8 Intel ones look really good but price-wise aren't in the plaything league of the N54.

Edited - also use voucher code 'MSFREENDUK' for free delivery.

MoreComputers are doing the same deal, they had one in stock this morning but I went and bought it.

They keep getting more in, so just keep checking.

He had a negative bluety on a quackhandle and was quadraspazzed on a lifeglug.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

Dirt cheap and loads of cool projects specifically for that hardware.

I have one of the older versions (2hyrs old) of these to run my home server but the chassis looks the same. It can take up to six HDDs (4 in the caddies and two laptop HDDs/SSDs in the DVD drive bay).

I bought an IBM Intellistation 285, new old stock, not sold anymore but this was boxed and crated and unused.

POWER5+, 4gb RAM, 36gb SCSI, (three spare bays) - 2 x 1.9g dual core, heavy as fook, quiet as fook, still fastest RISC proper workstation ever, pisses on a Sun Ultra 45, £149.

            Bargain!

I bought one of these a couple of months ago, £250 after cash back. Pretty quiet I just use it as a test machine.

AIX 7.1 - it's my NIM. Also it once had 50 WPARs on it for a laugh. Never seen WPARs in action on site anywhere.

It can't do LPAR tho, but I knew that, having made that mistake before!
