Default Laptop recommendations

(Up to) 350 sheets, must have CD/DVD drive no other particular requirements apart from a degree of stability - it's for her indoors.

Also advice on source - I really don't want to have to spend any more time in PC world or Currys.

The track pad went weird after about a year, then back to normal a month later. Normal dell stuff

Thanks all - ended up with a Tosh from John Lewis - 2mb ram 160gb HD Vista Home premium - broke budget (slightly) at 370 but seems pretty good.
