Vlite is good at streaming vista right down.

Have a read up first before you remove something.

If it's a new laptop, then dell and the likes are notorious for filling it full of carp.

How much do you need to know about it before you can make it .... just ..... work...??

Asking for an idiot's guide is not the same as asking to be guided by an idiot

I did, to tuning, I don't need to know how to gain access to the control panel or use hibernate mode, so I don't think the Vista For Dummies book is going to help much.

However, realistically, asking for help on here one has to learn to take the helpful answers (majority) with the stupid few terry ossers who probably don't have a bill oddie clue themselves anyway.

I wouldn't knock it quite so quickly... the dummies books that i've seen have gone in to some depth
