Default Blacklisted IP address

I am currently using my 3G data card a lot since I am having problems with my ISP. However, when I send/receive emails on outlook, it sometimes bombs out with the message: "Cant receive from a blacklisted IP address".

What does this mean and what can I do about it? Any idea?

Look up your email domain on www.mxtoolbox.com and then run a blacklist check. It'll tell you who is blacklisting you but not always how to fix it.

Edit - Try the link Bellymonster posted, it's worked for me a couple of times.

It sounds to me like the blacklisted message is coming from the SMTP server you’re attempting to relay from.

If you’re not on that providers IP network you cannot relay off it (or the server would be an open relay).

The solution is to change the email server to the mobile providers SMTP relay, or you can authenticate yourself to the server you would normally use by your broadband provider (not all will allow that though).
