    GIS question

    Hi All

I'm dabbling with GIS/Maps at the moment, since I discovered all the maps available (e.g. old OS maps) on the NLS website. I know there are a few websites out there that can show two map layers side by side (e.g. OS 1:25k and Aerial) but I'm after some method of showing layers I specify side by side.

I use Backcountry navigator on my Android phone and using custom maps I can get it to download the OS six inch maps from NLS, so loading tiles into some desktop program could be an option? I've also managed to add some WMS layers into QGIS, but can't see how you show two at once.

    Any pointers appreciated
