To .co.uk or not .co.uk? That is the question.

    Hi,

I haven't registered a domain name before and was just wondering what makes most business sense. Should I register just .co.uk, just .com, or both?

If it is business register as many as you can, it might seem expensive now but if it hits big and somone pretends to be you later it could cost you more

Both, and anything similar if you can get those as well.

It's not expensive to do at the start, but could prove expensive in the future if someone else has them. I wish I'd kept hold of one of my early ones, but I let it go

WHS. I have about 20 of them for my primary business name.

I on the other hand chose a name that's easy to pronounce internationally but in no rish of being 'snatched'.
Initially I had both .com and .co.uk if .co.uk proves to be more than £10/year I'll drop it as it's of no use

Grab them both; they're dirt cheap nowadays. You may want to get .org and .net as well.

              I just renewed a .co.uk for around £20 for 5 years.

                  Why?

As long as they can find you on Google...
<Insert idea here> will never be adopted because the politicians are in the pockets of the banks!
