    Which watch?

Time for a new watch methinks.

Nothing really flash but a normal analogue one (aren't they all these days?) with a small digital led display so I can see it in the dark. Something with a nice chunky bezel (is that the term?) . And one thing that would be really cool is an altimeter as I always like to know how high I am. Price - up to about 800 quid.

    Any suggestions?

Fly to Thailand, use the spare £50 to buy a knock off.

One of those tissot touch ones?
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Ooh, that does look smart. LCD rather than led though. I suppose it's backlit at the touch of a button....

Am quite liking the Harry Winston watches, particularly the crazier models but I like

Am just short of the $449,700.00 for it though....

Look at the TW Steel ones or Guess Collection,

My everyday watch is one of these:

Watches come in three main types Quartz, Manual winding and top of the pile is Automatic. By analog I assume you mean that you want hands, For the money you are wanting to spend you should stick with Tissot, Seiko or Timex. Thats not snobbery its just the one thing you want a watch to do is keep perfect time. They will look ok and keep perfect time. and you will have some cash in your pocket for a good pint of beer or 20.

You really must avoid any of the jewelry brands as they will be no better than most of the fakes and TBH the fake will keep better time.

If you like Watchmaking as an art then it can get expensive as northenladuk has aptly demonstrated. You could use your £800 as a deposit and pick up a proper watch at the moment there are tonnes of interest free deal to be had and you might as well take the free money and have something more grown up on your wrist.
