Compress a video with minimal fuss

I have recorded a demonstration video of an application and the 5min file is 200Mb. I have a video conversion app from I don't know where but it's a bit arcane and I;ve forgotten how to use it.

Are there any widely used, easy to use tools which will spit out a nice Divx/H264 version

Handbrake should be able to do it. Its free and very flexible but the interface may look a little bewildering if you've not used it before. It has a number of Divx presets i think.

Yep the site's pants - but I like the product.
