Keep Losing Bluetooth Connection in Car

My HTC desire is paired up with my car's bluetooth. It has been fine all along until recently every few minutes I get a notification (which interrupts whatever I'm listening to) that he connection has been lost & it will try to reconnect.

Nothing has changed (apart from upgrading Android) any idea what it could be?

    TIA Jacqui

One would imagine that an update problem would only cause it not to pair at all as here:

An erratic fault like yours sounds more like hardware. All I can suggest is see if get same problem with another device, another phone or PC bluetooth dongle, about £8.

PS What version have you now got?

That suggests that the problem lies with the Android upgrade. It wouldn't be the first time that an upgrade has caused problems to a subset of users.

Yes, I did indeed pair another device and the problem didn't occur so it's a problem with the phone not the car's bluetooth device.
