    Last nights TV

Two good programs on last night:

Big Brother. I cannot stand this program however you have to admire the program makers for how clever they are in choosing the people and setting the environment. As the Times said today, barrymore was picked in the hope that he would break down during the series. as it was he virtually achieved this before he walked in the front door for the first time.

These people who seek celebrity status are indeed sad. I can see myself spending less time on this board.

The second program was Minder.. legendary (along with Auf wiedersen). Doesnt Denis Waterman look old?

dunno. I was watching C4, with Gervais interviewing some dude (crap) and then Gervais on his own standup comedy show (better)
    Chico, what time is it?

Three men in a boat, very dull, but strangely very funy with it.

And George Galloway too! Apparently the "guests" have been banned from "mentioning" the "dead poof in the pool" incident. If things go a bit quiet I wonder how long that rule will be "enforced" for.

          DA, you should write headlines
          Why not?

It was fantastic, they should just show repeats all night on ITV, there's nothing else worth watching these days. Agree about DW, he looked like he had Parkinsons or something.

Well there's a Tranny and a pool, do you think that's enough material for Michael to work with?

I bet he's watching his back pretty carefully

You can just imagine the joke potential for all this. They should have thrown someone like Jim Davidson in to spice it up a bit.

I also saw two programs, one an old episode of the Sweeney (with Denis Waterman looking quite young!) - God, how times have changed in one generation, and sad to think the Government plan to disband the Flying Squad.

The other was the next episode of the new series Rome. Very graphic (makes I Claudius look like Jackanory), but marred in places by what seemed a stagey "made for TV" feel. Hard to put one's finger on though.
