    Opted out by agency

Has anyone else received a revised contract from their agency opting them out of the 2003 Regs, without you specifically agreeing to opt out or signing an opt out form?

Also, what legal weight does an unwitting umbrella company countersigning the revised contract on your behalf have?

What is the legal standing of an agency going this?

Without your agreement this piece of paper is worthless.

If it were me I would tear it in half and send it back.

As to the UImbrella signing on your behalf (not withstanding my previous comment in another thread that they aren't entitled to do this anyway) it won't matter because BOTH the individual employee and the Ltd Company have to opt out so two siginature are required in two separate places (or on two pieces of paper) one of which has to be yours.
