A psychologist had an affair with a patient, persuading her to leave her family a conduct hearing has been told.

It is claimed that Dr Steven Manley, 51, from Wrexham, met the patient - known as Mrs W - in car parks for sex.

Mrs W told the British Psychological Society Dr Manley "brainwashed" her into thinking it would help her and charged her £35 for the sessions.

Wonder if he will get done for prostitution?

And while was looking up to see if prostitution was still illegal in the UK found this interesting article

God could you imagine it? get made redundant, sign on and get forced to sell your ass down at the local gay sauna *shudders* Though guess it would definatly force a lot of people to go out and get work.

There was a German psychiatrist on Eurotrash a few years back who conducted his sessions in the nude. Quite a few of his patients agreed to join him

There was also one I remember where a French (female) therapist 'helped' her patients by having sex with them...strangely enough it was also quite popular.

I saw a similar thing on TV here not too long, on a program called Open en Bloot (clips from each episode for those curious about Belgian TV), where a Gestalt therapist in Amsterdam teaches people how to 'touch themselves'.

Hmm...wonder when they're going to provide this sort of treatment on the NHS?
