    Community Support Officers

Apart from being the Gareth Keenans of law enforcement, has anyone had any positive experience of them? I'd love to hear of a positive experience to prove me wrong.

The standard bobby is pretty dim but at least they are generally able to lift up a bag of sugar without straining their back. CSOs walk around in groups, looking like the kids who used to get beaten up in the playground.

Went out for lunch...saw a guy shoplifting and then attempting to sell DVDs. Informed a CSO - was he interested!? Was he ****! Didn't even ask a single question....

CSOs are the New Lies Political Police.

Expecting them to be interested in shoplifters is therefore silly.

If you saw someone handing out party politicial stuff then they may well be interested.

I asked one for directions the other day and, I have to admit, he was incredibly helpful. Didn't know his left from his right and made me late for a meeting but other than that - great!
