    Web design/development

I am designing/developing a website for someone who is willing to pay; It will be mainly static pages.

Any ideas regarding working out how much to charge would be appreciated.

split the work into HTML coding/templates, design work, and any client - side javascript/css coding.

may be worth doing a survey of latest job stats/rates, then price it at what you feel your time and experience are worth..

    HTML,
    Design,
    Javascript,
    CSS.

        Freelancers.net

        Hi

I posted a project on freelancers.net, and was amazed at the response, there are loads of starting-out web designers willing to add you to their portfolio for free, and there are even more based in the "sub continent" that offer good services.

I think though, that if you can show a good portfolio of happy customers then you should be able to charge a reasonable rate, I would think anything from 200 - 500 quid for a reasonably professional job would be workable.

If you like the business idea behind a potential client, why not investigate a "with-profits" type of deal ?

        Just my tuppence worth
