    Oracle 9 services on Windows XP

    Dear Gurus,
    i'm not able to start any oracle service on windows and sqlplus .. listener..and so on cannot work.
    I'm using administrator user.
    What can i do?
    any suggest?

    Difficult without much more information, but useful things to check are ...

    1. Registry 'looks ok', ie HKLM\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\...contains the locations of your Oracle installation
    2. Are you using a firewall? This could potentially interfere with starting the listener if inbound/outbound loopback is blocked.
    3. In a command window run 'lsnrctl start' and post the message you receive.
