    Advice for new contractor

    Hello,

I am looking for some advice regarding contracting

    1. Recommendations for agencies for contracts in the Edinburgh/Central Belt area

    2. Sources of finance fior some commercial training 6-7ks worth.

    Thanks in advance

Maybe by sorting your google website would be a start.

Forget about looking for agencies. Look for the roles first, then worry about the agencies.

Re. source of funding. Get a loan ? You'd be well advised to get yourself a role first on what you know, get some cash in the bank and then fund the training from that.

      In my opinion.

1 - Seach the usual websites such as jobserve, itjobboard and jobsite etc for the roles - don't bother trying to contact agencies to find you roles, the agency you use (if you do) will usually vary contract to contract.

Also maybe worth looking a bit further afield than just one area.

2 - Earn some money for your company then let your company fund the course for you - it will be a lot cheaper than any type of finance.
