First Time Using and Umbrella Compnay

    Hi,
First time I am going to be using an umbrella company. I am self employed as a sole trader. In order for the agency to make a payment to the umbrella company I have to raise an invoice for my work. As the umbrella company already pays the tax and other stuff from the gross payment do I still include the amount for my own tax return at the end of January? It seems like if they are already deducting tax for it it's already declared to the HMRC as income.

    Thanks

You are no longer self employed. You are employed by the umbrella company who will make PAYE and NI deductions for you.

Plus the umbrella will be raising the invoice to the agency, all you will need to do is submit a timesheet, they should do the rest for you
