Contract for Services - Termination Date before Assignment end

    Hi All,

I have a Contract for Services (CfS) which includes a line stating a termination date. I also have an Assignment Schedule which includes an assignment end date.

The termination in CFS is earlier than the end date in the schedule.

Am I correct in thinking that once the termination date passes the whole contract is ended regardless of the later end date in the schedule? The agent disagrees with my view.

    Thanks

The contract is the signed agreement. I'd be going on that one. If the agent disagrees get them to issue a new contract that reflects the date in the assignment schedule.

That's my issue, they don't think they need to!

I'll tell them NLUK backs me up.

        Have you asked the client?

I'll help, "When were you expecting the last day of my contract to be?"

The client's already confirmed 12 months of work in the pipeline but it works on 3 month assignment. Unfortunately, the contract states a period of 2 months hence the disparity between the two. All I'm asking for is the contract to reflect the 3 months.

To be fair they'll want you as long as there is work to do regardless of the dates. You aren't going to get an extra month out of them if the project has finished. They can also just tell you no work no pay whenever they want so I don't think arguing over the dates really achieves anything.

That said nothing wrong with doing it properly as long as it doesn't rock the boat too much.

                Ah....gotcha.

The agents a chunt then, tell him to get it sorted and align the contract and schedule.

Are you suggesting go on site without a contract?

That's my thought, I'm not sure why they wouldn't. To be honest, having dates in the contract has only complicated matters.

Tell the agent your PI Insurance is invalid without it.

Say you just phoned your PI provider to check.
