How the EU is making a successful Brexit Difficult

UK : Lets talk. WE should aim to get the best deal possible for both of us.
EU : We will only talk about what we want to talk about. Any deal must be approved by 28 individual governments. And in any deal the UK must suffer - punishment for daring to stand up to the 4th Reich.

Why do you believe the wellbeing of 1 nation over 27 will take priority? And why is it punishment when they act as such, toward you?

There are far more important thing going on the EU than Brexit. The "me me me" coming out of the UK I suspect will fall on deaf ears before long.

    Isolationism is quite sad really.

I don't. No-one in the UK does. The EU believes in any deal the UK must suffer - punishment for daring to stand up to the 4th Reich.

yeah imagine some country who is a major contributor to the EU and who tried to renegotiate to stay in decided to leave and the comments are you will be punished. Seems fair.

Alternatively you can be a small country supported by its big brother and keeps begging to vote out and their big brother accommodates them to keep them.

        which way do you support?

You'll forever see any treatment from the EU as punishment because they look to protect the interests of the remaining 27. That action will be applauded by EU citizens.

Face it. Brexit and its followers are turning into a Beckett play. And the audience are demanding a refund as well as compensation.

UK Gov: "We demand we be given all the rights and benefits of EU membership, without any of the responsibilities."

            EU: "No."

The EU's position seems quite reasonable.

Sorry we get confused when Drunker tells us we have to suffer.

Jean-Claude Juncker thinks he has Britain over a barrel. Au contraire, mon ami: we'll be just fine without you

“Britain’s example will make everyone realise it’s not worth leaving,” says Jean-Claude Juncker. The President of the European Commission, on hearing the UK will trigger Article 50 next week, demanded a £50 billion “divorce payment”.

So what if the UK has made some of the largest financial contributions of any member state? Since 2000 alone, we’ve paid £90 billion more to the European Union than we got back. So what if Britain’s military and security forces have helped keep countless EU citizens safe?

Juncker wants to make an “example” of Britain, making unreasonable cash demands designed to provoke. Desperate to defend his empire, Juncker vows to “punish” Britain, to deter others from leaving

You're defending supporting the EU through browed money from the rest of the world. You're defending getting into an unplayable amount of debt to invoke cosy relations?

It's like the divorcee threatening suicide by a thousand paper cuts should they not get a fair deal. I fear some weighty paper in the post coming your way.

The UK is seeking exit from oppression. 1939 all over again. Will it be resolved in < 6 years.

Bollox? Absolutely! However less bollux than you just posted.

Have you got Monday links to get on with and give CUK something decent to read in general.....
