For a struck off company - How long to keep documents?

Having recently closed a Ltd company and had it officially struck off in March this year, I want to get rid of the pile of documents dating back to 2003. I reckon I can just burn all of it. The company has gone. Am I right?

        Keeping records

You must keep business documents for 7 years after the company is struck off, eg bank statements, invoices and receipts.

If the company employed people, you must keep copies of its employers’ liability insurance policy and schedule for 40 years from the date the company was dissolved.

Ah..... I never thought to google it TBH. I can only burn the first seven years worth then. That's a shame. Thanks.

Everything is on Google - however if you don't know which search terms will work ask here and someone will do it for you.

This is a worrying new trend.

Take your point. Yes, I guess I should have googled it, seeing as I can't ask an accountant any more.
