    Clarification

Hello, i would to have some advice from knowledge people in here. Currently i'm site supervisor which is due to expire in november this year and i'm considering to take an smsts course soon. My question is if i take my smsts before November will had a couple more of years to my expiration date or i will need always to do my nvq in order to get five years more in my course? I will appreciate some clarification about this subject.
