    Moor Good News

    2 years after putting my house one the market and after 3 failed purchases I once again became a home owner today. A thatched cottager in fact ;-)

    Can't tell you how good that feels. It's been a rocky road.

    The lesson I've learned is that never, ever, ever will I get off the housing ladder ever again.

    . If my purchase doesn't go through next time, I'll pull out of the sale too.

    It's been a horror story.....

      I've known people close to me who have suffered the same way. It has been harsh. The last few years have been unusual for the economy and the property market.

      For the same reason I would not want to hold 2 main residences either. The risk can be to the downside as well as the upside.

        Cheers. I had the double whammy of being in a holiday let (couldn't provide utility bills) as well a a very lean period contract wise. If this one hadn't gone through I was probably going to have to go into long term rental for a year or so.

        Fortunately, the good folks at Freelancer Financials got me a good deal based on my books
