    Who is my end client?

My client is a consultancy who has placed me in one of their projects in a bank. I am getting my contract reviewed and need to know who I should deem as my end client with regard to agreement re work practices. The daily work is carried out at the bank's office.

If I deem the bank my end client, I could in theory be reassigned to another bank during this contract, meaning that I would then need to get new work practices agreed.

Qdos deem the consultancy the end client but I wanted a second opinion as I would have presumed it was the bank.

What would you folk deem your end client, consultancy or bank?

I asked this many years ago as I wondered who's working practices I needed to keep an eye on and there seemed to be differing opinions. The consultancy could blow my D&C by assigning me to different customers/pieces of work and the their client could also do the same by giving me work to do while on site as well so a bit of a double whammy. TheFaQQer didn't agree as you can see in the thread and made a good argument but Lisa also made some good comments so don't think it was conclusive.

Your client is the consultancy, their client is the bank. To be safe You need to make sure your working practices are outside at both. Acting like an employee of your client on their clients site could be bad, as could looking like a permie at their clients. There is no case law so try and stay safe.

QDOS are right but I'd be interested to see what their take on your WP at the clients client is.
