Painless bookkeeping for contractors, from your iPhone

    Hi there;

We are Judit, Matt and Andrej, a remote team of three freelancers (researcher, designer and coder).

We've spent the last year collaborating on iPhone apps to reduce the pain of independent working. We hope you find them interesting, and would like to hear your comments and feedback, as relevant group of our audience.

    * Money In and Money Out apps: Painless bookkeeping for contractors, from your iPhone

Money In app preview: <mod snip>

Money Out app preview <mod snip>

This is the website: morphineapps .com/money

    What's good about the apps?
    • Contractors can save up to 30% of their accountant bill if they provide their own bookkeeping. The apps help them to stop spending money in something they can easily do
    • Focused, intelligent and super-fast. Apps learn from your usage, making suggestions and predictions, making it faster to add and submit the more you use them
    • Designed for contractors, freelancers and digital nomads, by them - and by the three people in this self-funded team
    • We launched with iOS10. The apps support some cool features of the new OS
    • No costly ongoing subscriptions or in-app purchases. Just a small up front price (£3.99 each), or in a bundle for £5.99
    • All your data is encrypted, private and safe. You can access it any time from iCloud, even if you stop using the apps
    • The apps are designed for inclusion and accessibility. Visually impaired and dyslexic freelancers have tested it, and the apps support Voice Over and Dynamic Type in iOS Accessibility Settings

I like the look of it, but I'm not an Apple user so can't use it.

Maybe a free trial version or something similar might be an idea - I'll quite happily spend a fortune on gadgets that get used once or twice and then get left in the corner, but I'll balk at paying 99p for an app. I suspect that I'm not alone in that for some reason, so the ability to see whether it works for me is something I would want to have a look at.

The challenge will be to see how you can see of the likes of Expensify which has a lot of additional features and integrations into accounting products.

Good luck with it - I wish you every success

Thanks for your feedback missinggreenfields, really appreciated

What we think differentiates Money In and Money Out from other apps like Expensify or accountancy software is that our apps have no costly ongoing subscriptions or in-app purchases. Just a small up front price (£3.99 each), or in a bundle for £5.99. The apps are simple & focused, and get the bookkeeping job done in a fast, simple and cheap way.

Sorry to hear your not iPhone user, but you can check the app previews in these links below

<mod snip: do that again and I will remove this thread and permaban you.>

It may well be but unless an accountant for contractors accepts and uses the output I doubt the promised savings will appear.

One reason why accountants like free agent is the amount of work they used to do which is automated in their version of the software

Its also less than 50% of the paid app market so its understandable why companies focus on iOS first
