Greetings All,
First time poster, so please be gentle ;-)
I had my contract with a large retailer terminated recently.
My agency said they (the retailer) would honour the 1 months notice.
A few hours later I am told the retailer is 'investigating' my past 5 months work and is refusing to now pay.
I understand my contract is with my agency so my issue is with them. The contract simply says:
"The Company (the agency) reserves the right to terminate an Assignment without notice if:
(a) the contractor is unable to pay his debts
(b) the contractor is unable or unwilling to perform or complete an Assignment to the satisfaction of the Client"
I've obtained some information from ACAS about tribunals etc. but would appreciate some help/advice from you old hands out there.
Many thanks in advance,
Uncle Albert
