    OnePlus 3

Anyone been following the launch, got any thoughts?

The price jump from £250 to £300 moves it outside what I'd call a budget phone but it sounds like you get a lot for your money.

Was looking at it yesterday and it appears very good. I'm on the 1+1 atm and could justify a new phone. Given that there is no way I'm willing to pay anything close £600 for a phone it's definitely an option.

I assume the 1+2 prices will plummet soon which could be very tempting.

1 +2 haven't gotten much favourable reviews as such especially from a camera point of view. I believe it has heating issues too (though a software update may have helped fix that). Also, it doesn't have NFC which would be useful and fingerprint sensor is a lot better in 1 +3

1+2 got good reviews, it just wasn't all it might've been and the 'flagship killer' name was overly optimistic. I saw it widely reviewed as the best budget smartphone it just isn't an iPhone 6s or Nexus 7. If the price drops it could be a real bargain - I'm not after a flagship phone.

I ditched my OPT because it kept freezing all the time after the a software update, and I had to keep rebooting it (reboot time isn't stunning either).

If the 3 is likely to be the same, then I'd avoid it - I went with a Nexus 6P in the end because I needed something reliable rather than having to switch it off when I was mid-conversation.

To be fair though even at £300 the OnePlus 3 is a bargain it has all the features the the flagship phones have but at half the price, I think it's reasonably priced.

It's a bargain if it works. My experience with the 2 says that it's a big "if" though.

If it keeps freezing and doesn't work properly, then it's very much a false economy.

Interesting, I hadn't heard of that problem. Do you know if it was a wide-spread issue or were you just unlucky - there are always duds? Did they roll out a fix that you're aware of?

I did hear lots of people have had problems with the OnePlus 2, but with me being the optimist I'm hoping they've learned from the problems and have made sure it doesn't happen this time around.
