No expenses, paid by PAYE, yep it will be great.

Especially as supply disappears and they bring in Tier 2 transfers to replace what is left...

Contractors will always be needed, the clients will work around this and I doubt half of this will see the light of day, it's impossible to implement. There are thousands of contractors working, being hired, extended etc every day. This is FUD to scare the pseudo permie contractors into staying permie, all the better for us as supply will die and we will name our rate.

No. This is stuff designed to solve the problem of bogus self employment and the low paid. Its just being implemented badly because HMRC know no better and hence is going to impact us far more than it should...

If they do implement all of this, which I highly doubt, then companies could just hire us as permies on probation periods with a normally salary and big bonus easy to get around this, calm down.

What will happen if you are at the start of a 12 month contract are they going to can it and put you under IR35? Nah this won't see the light of day IMHO.

I think most contractors don't have a clue what IR35 is. I mention it to my contractor mates and they're like 'huh? what's that?' or 'I don't need to worry about anything like that my accountant takes care of it'. 'oh, dividends are changing next year? I wonder what that means'.

Latest one being 'Thanks but that sounds like it is a permie job, you've just literally said we need permies but we can only find contractors, and I'm not suited to that sort of work (basically, IR35 )',

'but we have some contractors doing it already that have been here for years'

Unless you're the lead dog, the scenery never changes.

Currently 10+ contracts available in your area
