    Fixed price work/retainer (non-technical)

    Hi,

I'm interested to understand how many people doing non-technical roles (Project Management, Product Management, Strategy, Business Analysis) work on a fixed price / retained basis?

For the last couple of years I've always worked on a day rate basis (i.e. I bill for the days worked) for one client at a time, but have a couple of opportunities lining up that would be more along the lines of £x per week, on the basis of 3 'notional' days (for two separate clients).

Keen to get people thoughts (and pitfalls) on this different way of structuring commercials.

    Cheers,

Are you going to have the capacity to provide service for more than one client at a time? How will you deal with any competing deadlines which presumably will occur at some point?
