              MacBook Pro.

I've got a new MBA (MacBook Air) waiting for me at the Apple Store at home. I decided to save the extra £1,300 the fully-loaded MBP would cost for a year or so, in the hopes they'll sort out the teething troubles with the new keyboard by then.

But my 2011 MBA is showing its age now. Still works fine for the most part, but the battery is struggling, and it's only got 4GB RAM. That's not really enough for running PyCharm, Sublime Text, a 1GB virtual machine, and all the other constantly-open stuff like Mail and about four dozen browser tabs

So a new fully-loaded MBA it is.

The lunch provided at the conference seemed suspiciously vegetabley, and there was also what I suspect was the acrid stench of cheese. So I skipped it and went to Waterstones by Trafalgar Square instead, where I bought a collection of Herman Hesse's short stories. Food for the soul

This is a 2012 MBP, I switch the drive, upgraded the memory.
Should be fine for another couple of years now

                  Ideal for university work
