Damage assessment from Xmas completed.

Gained half a stone and apparently lost the ability to ride a bike in any meaningful way.

I hate old people.

How is it possible for families with toddlers, a dog and pushing a buggy to move out of my way on a cycle path but old people not to? Toddlers cannot walk in a straight line and randomly stop but they still manage to get out of the way but old people can't. Next time I will just knock a few of them over. Oh and they weren't that old either they look like folks around normal retirement age.

I then got shouted at by a motorist, in the same age group, while walking to the supermarket later. I gave him some verbal back much to his surprise. I told him as the person reversing it is his job to look out for pedestrians and others. FFS I have to do this every time I use my car and haven't run over a dumb walker yet.

Fry-up for dinner

It hasn't completely cured the hangover, but it's helped

Just rescued the latest iteration of the lentil <pffffft> soup as it began to catch on the bottom of the saucepan.

For some reason I prepared enough vegetables to fill the large saucepan and overflow into the next size down saucepan, it being the smaller of the two which was on the point of boiling dry.

Having been cooked it now fits into the large saucepan with space to spare.

And it doens't taste as if it caught.

Yum.

Back to the slough of despond tomorrow for another week in purgatory.

Ho very hum.

I've had to wash the jumper I wore whilst cooking lunch coz some fat spat at it & it reeks.
