Much to my surprise I've actually had quite a rewarding day today
We'd had something chucked into our schedule by the business at very short notice, and I only found out I was working on it, with very little idea of what was required, yesterday afternoon
But it's done, I think there's only one screw-up in there (which I need to confirm with another guy, whose responsibility it is to fix it - what, you didn't think
I'd screwed up, did you?

), and it all seems to be hunky-dory
With a bit of luck, tomorrow I can start work on the final burnishing of the one truly cool thing I've created while I've been here
P.S. Found out today that the project on which I worked for nearly six months at ClientCorp ended up being scrapped
Quote from one of the permy chaps I used to work with, via IM earlier:
Time at ClientCorp: 1 year today.
Lines of code live: zero.
