    Very Fair!

Kind of like Pablo Escobar at the height of his power! The scheme providers are probably burying their money as well!

      better late than never

thanks for the info, I'd not thought to look for an independent group previously as my attempts to get Darwin to help were pretty unsuccessful.

Have submitted application to the 'big group' and PM'd OKR.

Can I please join the private group

I am still unsure on how to join the private group created by lilikins. I viewed info about wtt consulting and the big data - is anyone using a tax specialist and if so, could you recommend one? IQ is still operating and selling their scheme(s)....

As a point of pedantry, WTT Consulting is a tax specialist.

Sanzar, Garraway, Winchester, Darwin and IQ are among many other schemes that are affected by these enquiries. For Sanzar initially they have requested a large payment is made back to them by each of their users based on a retrospective recalculation of their tax liability.

Under new legislation approved in 2014, HMRC will be able to issue Advance Payment Notices (APN's) for money that they believe is owed to them. Under this new APN concept we will have to pay up the amount within 90 days of receiving this notification without a right to appeal.

We have created a private group where all affected and potentially affected scheme users can join forces to appoint a tax specialist/law firm that will help us understand what our rights are and where we stand legally.

It is important to understand that even if you have not yet received enquiry letters you most probably will in due course and we need to ensure we all come together in order to have some sort of chance of getting a fair treatment.

In order to become part of the private group you will need to provide proof of having been part/or being part of any these schemes.

If you have any questions on the subject please PM myself or Old Kent Road.

I was using the Darwin scheme for 2 months in 2012 now HMRC wants 17k from me in less than 30 days! The 17k is more than I made for the entire 2 months I was with them. These are pure mafia tactics. They letter was dated 9th March. I didn't get it till about a week later. Now they want payment before the 9th of April. I hear people on this forum talking about 90 days to pay up. That's not my experience. I need help because Darwin won't do anything. Please contact me and let me know how to join your scheme and what it costs. Thanks. Boyomez

That's not your experience because you probably got a notice of assessment, while the "90 days" crown got APNs. Being precise about what kind of demand you received would be a good start if you expect assistance.
Anyway, aside the group you are trying to join, there is always Big Group (check the relevant thread).
You need to act quick because you have a limited time for the appeal.

                Still active?

Hi there, I am interested in joining this group. I had initially made contact back in October 2014 but never 'officially' registered.
I just wanted to check the private forum is still running and if so do I still need to send proof to Old Kent Road?

Which scheme were you with? I would seriously consider joining Big Group.

I was with Garraway... I'm looking into Big Group now also! Can't hurt to have as much info as possible I'm guessing.

I was with Garraway 13/14 - just received my pre-APN letter yesterday. Big Group highly recommended.
