Buyer beware. There are a number of Swiss Watches that now use Japanese and Chinese movements and assemble them in Switzerland. Made in Swindle-land would be more apt to some watches

Yeah. Cos the Japanese & Chinese are clearly incapable of mechanical engineering, especially on small scales. They certainly have no idea how to make a quartz watch.

While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

You'd have to be some sort of cretin/have self-esteem issues to waste thousands on a watch, IMHO.
Unless it was an appreciating classic.

A mate of mine did a one day horology class. A day well spent with magnifying glasses and little screwdrivers but came away with a unique timepiece he'd assembled himself.

No idea what it cost though.

I’ve had the same wind-up Omega for over 40 years and it is still accurate and is in daily use. The value has increased tremendously. Sadly Omega has been taken over by Swatch and the new ones are a bit tacky.

The wife has one of the Planet Ocean range, the movement is beautiful. I quite fancy the Dark Side of the moon Edition that should be coming soon...

I'm buying this beaut at the weekend http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005MKGQMY/

Titanium case and strap, and sapphire face with an uncluttered clear dial.

I just hope those dial markings are generous dollops of radium, so it's nice and luminous

I've also got a classic gold 1967 Breitling Cosmonaute. It's only money.
