I've heard that the Stig is in fact one of a number of different drivers. They, of course, dont want us to know this as it makes the 'Best Lap Times' board slightly useless .... hence the helmet and dark visor. Hiring the weekly services of an F1 or WRC driver is too expensive and impractical apparently.

I do believe that to try and be more elusive there is not one..... but three poeple who play the stig these days. I am aware of the identities of two of them

Suggestions is it is more than likely Ben Collins F3 Driver + 2 others
Top Gear have always got more of the BTCC drivers to do stuff on the show
so these other 2 are more than likely from this series
