Consultant is probably expected to drive to client's premises - different ones, so different risk.

If you get wrong job description you might be shooting yourself in the foot - the insurance company will argue you provided materially wrong information that reduced your risk in their eyes.

1) My contracts always state analyst or programmer.
2) The travel to different sites is 'Business cover' which was selected for both!!

I am a programmer by virtue of writing c#/vba/sql, dont act like a consultant and via agencies rather than direct so nope, they wouldnt have a leg to stand on

Taken it out

Better take out some worthless insurance from job loss - hedge funds are going to go through some turbulence next year

I recently renewed my car insurance and found Norwich Union were £200 cheaper than my current insurers "Elephant".

It pays to shop around.

I got a renewal notice through from Directline and they wanted £653 for the year, I went on their own site and was quoted £448 for the exact same deal.

I rang them and said I'd rather have the cheaper option please!

They must make a lot of money from lazy people.
