Default "staff"

from a clientco HR email:

Quote:
The ClientCo Code of Conduct states that ClientCo employees, and at ClientCo’s election, contractors ('Staff'), must comply with all applicable laws and regulations and must conduct their business activities in an honest and ethical manner.

('Staff') is meaningless. It's just a reference to the group of individuals that make up the employees and (elected) contractors.

May as well be ('ABC_123')

Or if it were my code, ('Bob')

Ask them what 'ethical' is? Maybe what is 'ethical' to them is not 'ethical' to you...

I never get wound up by emails like this. It's quite simple, in most organisations the number of contractors are small, the number of permies that understand contractors are not temps is far smaller. It's just a matter of understandable ignorance so I don't worry about these things.
